As night fell over Singapore, The Meadow at Gardens by the Bay was ablaze with light for one of Singapore’s signature health and wellness events of the year — HiFY Dinner 2026, themed “Healthy Food, Healthier You”.

Combining dinner with a live music experience, HiFY Dinner 2026 is a large-scale, immersive event centred on healthy lifestyles, bringing together healthy food, live music, community engagement and the pursuit of physical and mental well-being.

The event was jointly organised by the International Leading Education Alliance (ILEA), Kampung Senang Charity and Education Foundation, and the UNESCO-ICHEI IIOE Singapore Training Centre. The event brought together leaders of the business community, the education sector and community organisations, as well as academics, educators, students, families and members of the public. Dressed in elegant white, guests gathered in the lush green surroundings to enjoy a shared healthy dinner carefully curated by Lavish. More than a culinary event, this milestone gathering became a compelling social initiative, encouraging greater awareness of conscious lifestyle choices in modern society.

## In Focus: Choosing Health at Life’s Crossroads

Behind the festive atmosphere lies a public health reality that demands attention. Health information is more accessible than ever, and people do not lack knowledge about diet, exercise and health. Yet obesity, metabolic health, sarcopenia and, in particular, lifestyle-related issues continue to pose significant challenges. HiFY Dinner set out to create an atmosphere of active participation and to convey a core message: helping people move from “knowing what is healthy” to “living healthily”, turning knowledge into daily habits they can sustain, and letting them experience more mindful health choices over the course of a single meal.

In response to these pressing health challenges, the three co-organisers — ILEA, Kampung Senang and the UNESCO-ICHEI IIOE Singapore Training Centre — brought together people from all sectors around a shared belief: when it comes to our lifestyles and our future, each of us stands at a crossroads.

This belief also echoes the insight Senior Minister of State Goh Pei Ming shared in his keynote address: “Beyond improving individual health, participants often become ambassadors for healthy living, inspiring healthy choices among their families, friends and colleagues.”

Good health does not come from passive remedies. HiFY Dinner was conceived to break the reactive cycle of “waiting for a crisis before making a change”. By harnessing the collective energy of a community dinner, the event encouraged people to take charge of their own health and move towards a more vibrant future in which they are in control of their well-being.

The evening also marked an important milestone for the eight-week Body Composition Health Challenge, with participants’ results showcased. The challenge tracked changes over the eight weeks through indicators such as muscle mass, waist circumference and visceral fat. Safeguards were in place to discourage participants from chasing short-term results through extreme dieting, with the emphasis on building sound, sustainable habits.

## Cross-Sector Collaboration and Ecosystem Building: Creating a Positive Change Motivation System

Breaking away from the single format of conventional gatherings, HiFY Dinner 2026 brought together Singapore’s top F&B leaders, visionary educators, health-tech elites and grassroots communities in an unprecedented partnership. This extraordinary vision was reflected in the spectacular sight of guests dressed in white at Gardens by the Bay, as well as the strong response to the “HiFY Dinner + Music Experience” passes — a sign of the community’s strong interest in, and appetite for, healthier lifestyles.

Neo Japanesque, DJ Tinc and Belle Sisoski took to the stage with electrifying performances, bringing the music experience to life with energy and excitement. More than entertainment, the music reflected one of HiFY’s key messages: healthy living does not have to be defined by rules and restrictions, but can be naturally woven into food, music, social connection and everyday life.

As Dr Eric Wu, Chief Executive Director of ILEA, said: “Lasting change comes not from commands and pressure, but from the right knowledge, a positive environment, genuine companionship and visible role models.” This philosophy lies at the heart of HiFY Dinner — creating an environment where people can experience and embrace healthier ways of living together.

Participants were not only beneficiaries of a healthy lifestyle, but also became “Healthy Lifestyle Ambassadors”, inspiring their families, friends and colleagues. When the F&B industry, educators and households work hand in hand to build a healthy food ecosystem, each person’s small changes add up to a mighty force that moves society towards a healthier, warmer future.

Through its actions, HiFY Dinner is showing that health is more than a “life prescription” — it is a self-renewing “cycle of love” in which change happens naturally.
