BACKGROUND

At present, nations worldwide are placing increasing emphasis on building sustainable and healthy societies. The United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development encourages member states to accelerate the implementation of green development and healthy lifestyle initiatives.

To align with this global vision, the summit themed "Global Green Development and Healthy Lifestyle" will take place in Singapore from 31 August to 1 September 2025. The summit aims to explore pathways toward building a green and healthy society through cross-sector collaboration and global exchange among leaders in education, technology, and healthcare — empowering a greener future through education.

Jointly organised by the UNESCO International Centre for Higher Education Innovation (UNESCO-ICHEI) and its International Institute of Online Education (IIOE) platform, this summit will mark the official launch of key international initiatives such as the “Healthy Lifestyle Coach Certification (HLCC)”. This milestone signals a new phase of global cooperation in health education — one built on the co-construction, co-sharing, and co-creation of global health education. By awakening awareness through education and driving transformation through technology, let us collectively build a new green and sustainable global ecosystem for healthy living.

This summit serves not only as a profound convergence of global agendas on green development and health, but also as a strategic springboard for leading healthy lifestyle transformation over the next decade.
